![]() Job Posting Public Safety Officer Ohio Wesleyan University is currently seeking qualified applications for the position of Public Safety Officer. The Ohio Wesleyan University Department of Public Safety is searching for qualified individuals interested in working in a challenging and diverse community environment as a Public Safety Officer. The successful candidate’s must be a least twenty-one (21) years of age, have a valid drivers’ license, a high school diploma, or equivalent, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications would include experience in a college setting and / or experience in a security/police work environment or state OPOTA certification. The successful applicant must be willing to submit to a background investigation. The current opening will involve evening and night shift, with varying hours and days off. Public Safety Officers are subject to overtime and call-in responsibilities and may be required to continue working beyond a regular shift, or regularly scheduled days off and /or additional hours and special events. The starting wage will be $12.00 per hour. Qualifications:
