Assistant Professor, Spanish

The Department of Modern Foreign Languages at Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and talented individual for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Spanish, beginning in August for the 2012-2013 academic year. The successful candidate will have a concentration in 20th century Peninsular Spanish Literature and will have a strong commitment to teaching language courses. Interest in 21st century literature would be a plus. The PhD or ABD (due for completion before July 2012) will be expected to teach Spanish language and literature for all undergraduate levels and should demonstrate native or near-native fluency. Candidates should possess knowledge of current methodology for foreign language teaching and must also show a scholarly promise in their field of specialization.

Teaching load is three courses per semester (10-12 weekly contact hours).
