Assistant Professor, Organic Chemistry (Tenure Track)

The Department of Chemistry of Ohio Wesleyan University is accepting applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in organic chemistry with a background in environmental or green chemistry to begin in August 2012. Applicants must possess a Ph.D. in chemistry and demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the potential to develop a productive research program in which undergraduates can substantively contribute. The successful candidate will be expected to teach organic chemistry and to participate in the teaching of general chemistry and non-majors environmental chemistry courses. The Chemistry Department is a six member ACS-accredited department. Ohio Wesleyan University is a selective, private, undergraduate liberal arts, residential institution founded in 1842 located 20 miles north of Columbus.
