Assistant Professor, Education

Teach six courses or equivalent during a year (two semesters). This position is for a generalist in elementary education/early childhood grades pre-kindergarten through fifth, with particular interest/expertise in science and math. Responsibilities would include teaching courses in early childhood integrated methods (mathematics, science and social studies), general methods grades 4-5, and supervising field experiences and student teaching placements. Expertise in Science Methods for middle and high school students is also strongly desired.

Minimum requirements: Earned doctorate by time of appointment preferred, but will consider ABD; minimum of four years experience teaching at the early childhood/elementary level, particularly with diverse learners in various educational settings. Experience supervising field experiences and/or student teaching highly desirable.
