![]() Job Posting Assistant Professor, Islam Ohio Wesleyan, located 20 miles north of Columbus, is a private selective undergraduate liberal arts institution of 1900 students from 47 states and 50 countries. We invite applications for: Department of Religion, Tenure-track, assistant-professor position in Islam Responsibilities: Course responsibilities include classical and contemporary Islam, a world religions survey, and a methodology offering. Preference to candidates who can support interdisciplinary programs by developing offerings on Women in Islam, Islam and Medieval Europe, Islam in Africa and/or America, or Islam in World Affairs. Qualifications: PhD in-hand preferred; relevant language skills expected; study-of-religion methodological interests expected; strong commitment to liberal arts education and active research agenda both necessary.
