Visiting Assistant Professor – Economist Generalist

The Department of Economics invites applicants for a one year term position (non-tenure track) at the Visiting Assistant Professor level beginning Fall 2008. Minimum qualifications include Ph.D. in Economics (ABD acceptable for Visiting Instructor appointment) and strong teaching skills. The position requires the teaching of six courses across two semesters, but no more than two course preparations per semester. Course load will include Principles of Economics, Research Methods or Econometrics or Intermediate Microeconomics, and possibly a field course. Excellence in teaching as demonstrated by teaching evaluations, experience and/or letters of recommendation is a prime requirement for the position.
