![]() Job Posting Assistant Professor of Education – Tenure Track Responsibilities include teaching six courses or equivalent during a year (two semesters). This position is for a specialist in English/Language Arts with a willingness to work with general secondary methods students. Responsibilities will include teaching the middle and secondary level language arts/English methods courses, young adult literature, content area reading, and supervision of students in field experiences and student teaching placements. Depending on the candidate's area of expertise, additional teaching assignments could include courses in educational psychology or philosophical/historical foundations. The selected applicant will have the opportunity to form collegial relationships with students as well as arts and sciences colleagues in addition to the opportunity of combining teaching with research and service in an environment that encourages innovation and collaboration. Minimum qualifications: Earned doctorate or A.B.D. at time of appointment; minimum of three years experience teaching at the high school level (middle school experience also desirable). Experience supervising field experiences and/or student teaching highly desirable.
