Assistant Track & Field Coach

Ohio Wesleyan University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Track & Field Coach. Ohio Wesleyan University is an NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference. Assistant Coach will assist the Men's and Women's Track & Field program.

Responsibilities:

Duties will include but not be limited to: assisting with implementation of practice and training routines for specified athletes under direction of the Head Coach, implementation of practice and training routines for selected athletes, management of home meets, assigned administrative tasks, recruiting, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Included is a second administrative duty assigned by the Director of Athletics and teaching of PE activity courses.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree required and a master’s preferred in a related field. A minimum of three years of competitive collegiate track and field program and  coaching/recruiting experience is required. Budgetary and supervisory experience, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, and an understanding of the Division III student-athlete philosophy is highly desired. Ideal candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the nature and goals of a liberal arts college and have the ability to work within an academic setting with a commitment to student development. Experience in a residential campus environment is strongly preferred.
