Ohio Wesleyan University invites applications for the position of University Registrar. Candidates must have a B.A. Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) or the equivalent as well as extensive experience in an office of records and registration or in some closely related area. The candidate should have leadership, administrative, technological and interpersonal skills as well as some familiarity with government and accrediting agency reports and regulations. Experience with academic enterprise resource planning and knowledge of Web-based registration, grade entry and degree audits is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will bring to the office a creative and technologically advanced approach to the management and reporting of student registration and records as well as excellent communications and interpersonal skills. The Registrar works closely with the faculty to develop and implement academic policies taking into consideration the individual needs of the student.

The Registrar reports directly to the Provost and provides leadership and supervision to a knowledgeable staff. In addition, the Registrar maintains and ensures the quality and integrity of student academic records, oversees the university’s registration system, acts as the university’s FERPA compliance officer, generates and edits the bulletin of classes, and supports the university’s academic mission by serving on appropriate curriculum and academic committees and working with other administrative offices serving the student population. The Registrar is also involved in editing the academic portion of the university’s catalog and coordinating the university’s commencement.

Chartered in 1842, Ohio Wesleyan is a highly selective, coeducational, residential, privately supported liberal arts college located 25 miles north of downtown Columbus in Delaware, Ohio. The registrar’s office is located in a newly renovated facility in one of the landmark buildings on the main campus.
