Ohio Wesleyan University seeks a talented and energetic individual with a keen understanding of the career development process, extensive knowledge of current employment trends and hiring practices, a vision for future trends in the field, and an appreciation for the application of a liberal arts education in the current marketplace to serve as Director of Career Services.

The Director of Career Services reports directly to the Assistant Dean of Student Life/Coordinator of Counseling, Career, and Health Services. This full-time position entails a twelve-month administrative employment arrangement and offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in a related field of study; a minimum of four years experience in a career development setting, preferably in a college setting; sound knowledge of career development theory and current best practices; excellent counseling, interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills; a minimum of two years experience in management and staff supervision; knowledge of and experience using career assessment tools; strong computer skills; a willingness to work some evening and weekend hours; a strong commitment to student development; and sensitivity to diverse populations.
